sailfish and releasing /stomach?

Just got back from my third trip to Zihua.
It gets better every trip.
My question is can you successfully get the stomach back in a sailfish if its out when you get them to the boat and will the fish survive if you do. We ended up not releasing 3 sailfish because of this. The captain said they would not survive. I’ve heard that you can get it back in though and they will survive.
