Great Whites roam all oceans from about 45* N & 45* S, occasionally further. To say that they are not around Ixtapa/ZIH would not be entirely true.
To say that none have been seen, might not be true, but I have never heard of any large sharks in the area. I have never seen any large sharks in the area. With the billfish and turtles that are in the area this is unusual.
I know of no large sharks being brought to the dock. That doesn't mean that one may not be or show up in the area, it only means it would be a very rare occurrence.
