It's around a 1/2 hour from Uruapan so if you are driving it could be a day trip. If you aren't looking for instruments ... there's not much else to see there, kind of a drab little town.
Might stop by the Parque Nacional Eduardo Ruiz in Uruapan to brighten up your day
