Last Tuesday we saw a turtle under one of the new shelters on Playa Madera digging in the sand to lay eggs about 50 meters west from La Rana Rene restaurant. We told our hotel conceirge who then called the Tourist Police to let them know about it. They promptly arrived and convinced the tortuga to head back out. I'd rather that they had put up a picket fence around the nesting site instead.
