I checked the Parhikuni schedule and there are no scheduled runs.
It has been reported on the forums that the Parhikuni bus service between Patzcuaro and Zihuatanejo was discontinued in mid-July.
The other options would be to get yourself from Patzcuaro to Uruapan or Morelia, and go from there. Going to Morelia is backtracking a bit, but you are at least guaranteed of regular service between Patzuaro/Morelia and Morelia/Zihuatanejo.
